The Harrods Creek Fire Protection
District is implementing the "Vial of Life" program, free of charge, the
the residents of the Fire Protection District. This program is part of
one that is nationally recognized and one that could prove to save your
life during times of need. The program is designated to provide important medical information to first responders, in the event you are unable to speak or cannot remember the medications you are taking at the time of your emergency. Your medical information would be sealed in a tube, which would be stored inside your refrigerator door, with a decal affixed to the front door of your home alerting first responders that medical information is located inside your refrigerator. Having your medical information inside this vial also would make it readily accessible to take with you, if ever you must leave your home quickly in the event of a community-wide emergency. If you have any questions about this program, please call Major Dell Marstiller at Harrods Creek Fire Department at 228-1351 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. See also www.vialoflife.com for additional details. The "Vial of Life" program is one more way that your fire department is looking out for your safety! |
