Harrods Creek Fire Protection District operates (2) 24 hour companies out of two stations.

We provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) medical first response as a supplement to Louisville Metro EMS as well as firefighting services and technical rescue.

Harrods Creek Fire is one of the leading departments in the Jefferson County Special Operations Command which provides technical rescue including water rescue, trench rescue, structural collapse and rope rescue, to Jefferson County and Commonwealth of Kentucky. Deputy Chief Kruer serves as the Commander of JSOC and Captain Urekew serves as the training officer.
